Robert Richardson cards for individual purchase.Robert Richardson was an early Disciples reformer and educator, as well as a medical doctor. Although not often considered among the “founders” of the Stone-Campbell Movement, he was one its leading thinkers, albeit often behind-the- scenes. Richardson practiced medicine in Wellsburg, WV (then VA), and he held a professorship at nearby Bethany College. He was a close friend and associate of Alexander Campbell and Walter Scott, and he wrote prolifically for Campbell’s “Millennial Harbinger” and Scott’s “Evangelist” on a variety of religious topics. Richardson wrote the first biography of Alexander Campbell.
