States to study in 1953, and she was the first Japanese missionary commissioned by the UCMS in 1956. She served in Okinawa, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil. After returning stateside, she served as the Director of Interpretation for the Division of Overseas Ministries. She was a lifetime member of the Downey Avenue Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN.
