Disciples of Christ Historical Society’s 2023 Disciples History Trading Cards. Belva Brown Jordan cards for individual purchase. Rev. Belva Brown Jordan is a Disciples leader in the church and academy. Her ministerial career began with the Division of Homeland Ministry, serving initially as the Director of Racial/Ethnic Ministry and then as Director of Youth Ministry. She then moved into theological higher education where she held several faculty appointments and deanships at Lancaster University, Phillips Theological Seminary, Harvard Divinity School, and Claremont School of Theology. While at Claremont, Belva joined the staff of the Disciples Seminary Foundation, serving terms as Dean and then as Interim Executive Director. She has served the General Assembly as Moderator Elect (2017-19) and Moderator (2019-23).
