The Disciples of Christ Historical Society is pleased to announce Erin Anderson’s promotion to Associate Archivist. This summer, Erin completed her Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Erin’s academic focus included the description, preservation, and dissemination of both physical and digital archival materials. With a passion for ethical archival stewardship, Erin is committed to sustainable practices that prioritize the needs of collections and their users—principles she began implementing in her previous role as Archival Assistant.
On Erin’s promotion, President Joel Brown shared: “When Erin joined us as Archival Assistant, I knew we were welcoming someone with deep potential and a heart for this work. In the year since, she has consistently exceeded our expectations and made significant contributions to the Historical Society’s work. Her professionalism and commitment to inclusive archival practice make her an invaluable part of our team. Promoting her to Associate Archivist not only honors the excellent work she’s already done—it’s also an investment in the future of the Historical Society.”
