Accessibility Statement

We want everyone who visits the Disciples Historical Society website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Disciples Historical Society website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Disciples Historical Society website.

How are we doing?

We’ve worked hard on the Disciples Historical Society website and believe we’ve achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.

Why Join Us?

Join us in preserving and sharing the history of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the broader Stone-Campbell Movement by becoming a member or making a charitable donation to the Disciples of Christ Historical Society. Your support enables us to study our church’s history critically—celebrating our past as well as telling its hard truths—allowing our history and its lessons to guide us into the future. Together, we can keep the rich stories of our history alive and make them accessible for generations to come.
