Abigail Ayers is an Associate Archivist at the Disciples of Christ Historical Society.
She earned a Bachelors of Arts in History from Shepherd University and a Masters of Science in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University. Her focus of study has been documenting historic sites and structures, cemetery conservation, and mapping historic sites and events. An internship in a congressional archive helped prepare her for her role at DCHS. Abigail grew up in Bethany, West Virginia, and has been enamored by the Alexander Campbell Mansion since she was a small child. She has also been a member of Bethany Memorial Church since 2007. Being the Associate Archivist at the largest repository of materials from the Stone-Campbell movement and working directly with the Campbell Mansion has checked-off some of her childhood dreams.
